Venomous shares furious cover of “Paint it Black” featuring Mayara Puertas (Torture Squad)

Brazilian melodic death metal band Venomous is back and shares the new single, the version of the Rolling Stones classic “Paint it Black”. The track features Mayara Puertas, lead singer of Torture Squad, and this is a tribute to a classic that turns 56 years old in 2022.

“Paint It Black” was recorded in 1966 by the English Rolling Stones, and as the year went by, it gained versions by several artists – from rock to rap and R&B. The song, a songwriting partnership by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, is a timeless song with Indian, Middle Eastern and Eastern European influences that features lyrics about grief and loss.

Venomous presents a versatile sound, uniting classic and modern metal with Brazilian regional rhythms, where the songs bring fast riffs and grooves cadenced with a lot of weight and aggression, revisiting the band’s roots and bringing new characteristics. The band is back with a new lineup and excited about the release of “Paint it Black” and the resumption of their activities and shows in Brazil.
