Veniet unveils new single “Signs of the Messiah”

The Brazilian Metal band Veniet has just dropped their second and latest single, “Signs of the Messiah”, marking a new chapter in the band’s journey with significant lineup changes. After necessary adjustments due to personal commitments, the group welcomes Tiago James (lead guitar) and Lucas Fontana (drums), replacing former members Jean Michel Volz and Caio Gaona.

Jean Michel Volz, previously involved in production, has stepped away from the band to focus on releasing his first book. Filling his position is Tiago James, a seasoned guitarist who has lived in the United States for 10 years and plays with Hand of Fire, as well as producing for the project Perpetual Paranoia, known for bringing back Dale Thompson, iconic vocalist of the band Bride. With Tiago on board, Veniet not only gains a powerful lead guitarist but also a highly talented producer.

The departure of drummer Caio Gaona, who is now pursuing personal projects and continuing his career with other national acts, is offset by the arrival of Lucas Fontana, former drummer of the legendary Metal band Stauros. Lucas is a well-respected figure in the scene, and his addition strengthens Veniet’s new phase.

“Signs of the Messiah” draws influence from Metal giants such as Sepultura, Pantera, Judas Priest, Bride, and Tourniquet. The single delivers a heavy sound, with Tiago James showcasing visceral solos that blend Thrash Metal with Middle Eastern scales. Vocalist Lean Van Ranna displays impressive versatility, shifting between the intensity of Thrash/Death Metal and the high-pitched tones characteristic of 80s and 90s Heavy Metal, while also incorporating Middle Eastern vocal influences.

The song’s lyrics revolve around apocalyptic signs foretelling the arrival of a messiah, reflecting on global catastrophic events such as the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, alongside environmental disasters. The release coincided with Hurricane Milton’s passage through Florida, further intensifying the prophetic and heavy atmosphere of the track.

The song is now available on all digital platforms, and the official lyric video can be watched on Veniet‘s YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/49CJT4h-gLw
