Sfregio – “Malmignotta”

Ligurians Sfregio are now an institution of Italian metal, especially if we talk about that metal that loves to mix bursts of power and lyrics poised between the sarcastic and the cynical. You can’t separate their attitude from their music and in fact the band mixes thrash, punk and hard rock in equal measure.

However, what is striking is an always fresh and bubbly compositional vein and the songs are all peculiar in some way, that is, each with its own characteristics, ranging from the thrash violence of “Cinesi” to the almost punk of “Ciabatte e Spazzolino”. The variety is certainly an element that gives interest to this album, which doesn’t get boring even after many plays. Ours seem to have learned the lesson of Motorhead musically and have added lyrics that are truly hilarious and well done, never banal in short.

Also very good production makes this album pleasantly striking. In short, a band that with its approximately twenty years of history has reached maturity and knows how to stand out, above all for a totally irreverent approach. Recommended for non-moralists!
