Rossomethile – “Gehenna”

Great return to the scene by a historical reality of Italian gothic metal. We are talking about Rossomethyle, a group that with this seventh album convinces from all points of view. It’s no secret that in a genre like this, having an extraordinary singer like Ilaria Hela Bernardini makes the difference, and how! The tracks seem to be designed exactly for his vocality, but here we could open a chapter in its own right, because in this album each track is different from the previous one and, apart from the beginning of the album which is characterized by more powerful and immediate pieces such as ” Gehenna”, “Magdalena” and “Pasionaria (Frida)”, after that the band tries to change everything or almost everything by also offering many acoustic parts and where you can feel all the love for gothic, not only metal but also rock.

And this is where Ilaria is even better, because nothing stops her from being able to give charm and various types of vocality. A complete singer, that’s it. In this the band differs from many others: their ability to constantly change their skin and have the right technical skills to do anything (you can listen for yourself what these four guys are capable of!), is not something that can be found all over the world. days. Rossomethyle have their own identity and they fully achieve it in an exceptional piece like “Duet With Satan”, which appears as the summary of how much good the band has to offer.

An excellent album and to be listened to over and over again, because the compositions are full of twists, or even simply because the songs are really beautiful.
