Pino Scotto – “Live n’ Bad”

I would define Pino Scotto’s style as fundamentally Rock, but the term in question also includes other types of influences, from Metal to Hard Rock. What is certain is that there are no dull moments in his new live release “Live n’ Bad”.

Pino Scotto plays a timeless genre, sometimes classifiable as crossover, that crossover that was all the rage a few decades ago, and which now seems to have very few exponents willing to arm themselves with courage to resurrect a courageous musical style and bring it back into vogue.

Pino Scotto, with his way of making music, delivers a CD that is very pleasant to listen to and not stereotyped. A vocal line that imposes itself on the rest of the instrumentation, managing to blend and enhance the general sound. The songs all have their own reason and they slide away energetic and played as God commands. In my opinion this is enough to promote a record like “Live n’ Bad”.

But the most beautiful thing about this album is that even though it doesn’t invent anything new (or at least not completely new), it makes you want, once finished, to be listened to again, and this is certainly a sign that the Italian musician in question has a lot to say and manages to establish a certain alchemy with listeners.
