Melodic Death Metal Heavy Hitters Cariosus reveal new single, “Apollo’s Lament”
Melodic death metal band CARIOSUS has revealed “Apollo’s Lament” in anticipation of unleashing their first full length LP, presenting a fresh take on a sound that is both brutal and beautiful. Coming this winter, Will, Until Beauty is the tip of the spear in an assault of new music that has been years in the making. Drawing from many sub-genres such as Death, Black, and Neoclassical Metal, the Chicagoland band have sought to create a dynamic sound that explores the deep inner well of the human psyche. Frontman Alex Pfister said of the song, “‘Apollo’s Lament’ is written as a testament to the necessity of sculpting the highest version of oneself. It is a grim portent of a future in which this challenge is not met with conscientiousness and strength. Implicit in this song is a choice; struggle and rise, or suffer the price of cowardice.” Formed in 2014 and with 2 EPs under their belt, CARIOSUS’ music is reminiscent of bands such as WHITECHAPEL, AT THE GATES, and THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. CARIOSUS has played shows with notable acts such as ALEGAEON, ATTACK ATTACK!, and PSYCROPTIC. Band Lineup: Alex Pfister (Vocals, Bass) Kevin Kryszak (Guitar) |
