MaleVentvM, moods and different moments of life in “The Ultra Noise”
Fulvio Milone was born in Benevento on April 22, 1985. From an early age, alongside his older brother Ciro, he started listening to bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Metallica, and others. Coming from a family of musicians, he took up the electric bass at age 16. Soon after, he began playing songs from internationally known rock bands.
METALMUSIC – Hi and welcome to this interview. The Ultra Noise its your new album. What about the themes ?
Hello and thank you for the opportunity of an interview. The Ultra Noise is my first album where I wanted to talk through music about my moods and different moments of life. I think it is important to be able to express through music the truth of how a person faces life.
METALMUSIC – How would you describe your sound?
The proposed sound wants to highlight the colors of life. Man lives numerous experiences that continuously change our perspectives and our goals. This represents a continuous and significant transformation. In this case the music in its composition of each song tries to highlight these aspects
METALMUSIC – What do you write about?
The songs on the album describe through sometimes dissonant melodies the various experiences lived by the character in the artwork. The latter was created by Ciro Milone, a great photographer and interpreter of the music proposed in the work. The man “without identity” Initially does not know what to do but then later acquires color and therefore personality. This is why those who listen to “The Ultra Noise” can identify with it first hand.
METALMUSIC – What do you listen to when you are home?
I usually listen to different artists and genres of music. I really like progressive rock, metal, blues and sometimes even jazz. There are times when you need more energy and others where tranquility is necessary. I prefer artists who are able to convey an honest and true message in music. Sometimes I admire those who have the courage to change musical genre at the risk of not being appreciated by fans.
METALMUSIC – Your favourite live performance so far?
I think that having fun is the most beautiful and rewarding emotion when you put on a show. In the year 2024 when I played the album “The Ultra Noise” live using the backing-tracks at a club in my city it was truly exciting. I received many compliments and thanks to this I understood that the audience also felt the same emotions as me
METALMUSIC – Your favourite albums?
My favorite albums that have contributed to my formation as a musician are:
Metallica – Master of Puppets –
Pantera – Cowboys from Hell –
Death – The sound of perseverance –
Dream Theater – Awake –
Immortal – At heart of winter –
and many other albums by artists such as King Crimson, Black Sabbath, Porcupine Three etc.
METALMUSIC – A musician you would like to meet for a beer?
A very difficult question to answer! I would love to meet Chuck Schuldiner from Death even though unfortunately it is not possible. I think he was a talented and very innovative musician. He had a very original style that allowed him to attract musicians from a different genre than metal. I always thought he was a very humble and charismatic person.
METALMUSIC – What are your plans for the near future?
As for future projects, I intend to promote new songs composed and arranged by me. I do not exclude the possibility of collaborations with other musicians! I am very motivated to continue what I started in the album “The Ultra Noise”. Thank you so much for your invitation and for the space you have dedicated to me. Greetings to all metal friends! MaleventvM Metal on!!!
