A fusion of grunge metal, blastnoise and pop rooted in resilience Founded in Montpellier, France in 2022, Undramaa unites musicians from diverse backgrounds to create a unique blend of metal, grunge, and pop melodies. The founding trio—Patrice Duthoo (vocals, guitars), Christophe Sala (bass), and Vincent Villier (drums)—hail from notable bands like Doctor Livingstone and Illegal Process. In June 2023, Vincent’s son, Elliot Villier (guitars, backing vocals), joined, infusing fresh energy into the group. Their music, shaped by personal struggles and unwavering passion, is a testament to their resilience. “‘We’re tired but love what we do,’” they say. The name Undramaa combines “Undra” (wonders in Icelandic) and “Maa” (land in Finnish), symbolizing their captivating and powerful soundscape. Their debut album, Print the Dirt, features ten meticulously crafted tracks, recorded and produced by the band, with drums tracked at Montpellier’s iconic Subsonic studio. |
