Eye Of The Storm – “Spellbound”

Eye Of The Storm project, started in February 2023 by Riccardo Dessole, an Italian multi-instrumentalist based in Barcelona, Spain. This project is independent from the other band he is also a member of, Children of Dystopia.
Inspired by 70s and 80s Hard Rock and Classic Heavy Metal, his idea is to find a mixture of these genres, resulting in melodic heavy rock focused on melodies, catchy riffs, key changes and vocal harmonies.

The themes of the songs are mostly about positivity, love, friendship and self-confidence. The ultimate goal is to write songs in which the listeners can identify themselves in, thinking “Hey, I went through this too!”.

All the songs, instruments and vocals are recorded in studio by Riccardo himself.
The plan after the release of the EP, “In Hindsight”, is to release a full-length album at the beginning of 2024.

“Spellbound”, is a nice proposal, which shows a good technical mastery in the genre to be proposed. Energetic and gritty general sound, with an aggressive and at the same time sharp vocal line. An intense and well-constructed general atmosphere where the dynamics make listening even more compelling and exalting.

“Spellbound” involves the listener by dragging him into a suggestive dimension that gives off excellent vibrations through scratchy guitars, which give a remarkable sound impact. Eye of the storm, certainly has excellent potential to be able to propose original and not at all obvious ideas, surprising the listener in a positive way, managing to give even more a beautiful injection of energy.
