Demons By Design - "Thylacine"

Demons By Design is the solo project of Colin Emery (PERFECT NME) Drawing inspiration from earlier musical and conceptual influences, Demons By Design seeks to recombine those various elements in a new way and to present them in a contemporary fashion. This musical freedom allows for a lot of scope to experiment with sounds and atmospheres, incorporating elements of industrial, goth and metal, to name a few. The occasional collaboration with guest artists also helps to add an additional layer to a songs’ atmosphere and impact. “Thylacine” is the third single from Demons By Design following on the success of the debut singles; “FEED ME LIKE A DRUG” (feat. Kirsten Jørgensen) and “SCARLET”, both released via Wormholedeath Records. ”Thylacine” has a dark, industrial character, interspersed with atmospheric and melodic elements, yielding an intense and emotional song, mirrored by the lyrics which deal with the deconstruction and the loss of one’s self over time.

“Thylacine” , give us a concentration of heavy rhythms, evocative voices and distorted sounds. A song with a full-bodied general sound, thanks also to a voice that gives volume and grit, making listening intense and well enhanced by instruments typical of that Metal sound with the addition of further details that amplify and attack the sound, making it deep, and thus creating the right dynamic.
