Darkpools – “Gore” – REV
The Italian band Darkpools, are a Metal combo formed by Andrea Dean (vocals), Davide Purinani (guitar) and Angelo Rusalem (guitar) who had already played together previously and wanted to create a project with more contemporary sounds. Immediately joined Michael Bonanno on drums and Giuliano Corbatto on bass. Subsequently Giuliano leaves the group for family needs and his place is taken by Davide Giorgi, current bassist of the band.
“Gore”, the debut album is a hymn to power that combined with technique generate a devastating album. Seven tracks that generate a listening in which we are invested by an energy that makes us jump from the chair due to its power and its truly enthralling rhythms.
“Gore” presents variations on the theme that make listening compelling and convincing, thanks also to the insertion of details that testify to the technical mastery and the good wealth of ideas of the band “Desire To Fire” to name one.
A dark but not pessimistic Ep, despite the lyrics. The Darkpools see the light at the end of the tunnel, however faint and distant, sending the message that change can and must be done.
