Crush the Core was established in 2022 by Phil Forget (Vocals & Guitar), Stef Forget (Guitar & Bass), and Eric Mireault (Drums). Crush the Core blends hard rock grit with the raw power of old-school metal. Influenced by legendary acts such as Sabbath, Corrosion of Conformity, Metallica, and Black Label Society, the band infuses their music with relentless energy. Their lyrics explore a spectrum of themes, from introspective reflections to societal critiques, resonating with authenticity and aiming to provoke thought and inspire their audience.

The band’s journey began in 2019, marked by the challenge of songwriting during the onset of COVID-19 and an extensive search for the right vocalist. The turning point came in late winter 2023 when Phil Forget transitioned from guitarist to lead singer, propelling Crush the Core onto a trajectory of continuous growth. Since the end of June 2023, the band has released six powerful singles, with “DOOMSDAY CLOCK” being their seventh, maintaining a commitment to delivering new music every one to three months.
