Carmeria release new acoustic EP, “Lost In The Snow”

Hauntingly atmospheric band CARMERIA has dropped a new track “Lost In The Snow”. This song is a heartfelt anthem of support and resilience, where the narrator promises to guide a lost soul through darkness and hardship, offering light and comfort in times of despair. With imagery of snow and frost, the song emphasizes unwavering companionship and the power of hope to overcome life’s challenges.

Lead singer Jordan Von Grae states “Lost in the Snow was born from a collection of improvised lullabies I used to sing to my daughter to comfort her during a series of health complications. It was a particularly difficult time in our lives, however, as time went on, things started improving, and I decided I would weave these verses into one cohesive lullaby for her. The more I worked on it, the more I felt it’d be an appropriate choice for the ‘new original’ slot on Trinity. At its core, Lost in the Snow is an expression of hope in the dark, and a father’s promise to always be the light in the storm. It is different to anything we’ve released before, and I like that the lyrics are open-ended enough to warrant alternate interpretations. We often receive messages from people disclosing that our music has helped them through difficult times. Whilst this song was written for my daughter, I also like to think it serves as an ode to those who find solace in our music – a reassurance that the music of CARMERIA will always be there to hold their hands in times of turmoil”.

“Lost In The Snow” is one of the key tracks from the upcoming EP, Trinity: Volume I, set for release on February 14th, 2025. This acoustic EP features three powerful tracks that seamlessly blend CARMERIA’s signature dark symphonic metal style with ethereal, emotional storytelling. With Trinity: Volume I, CARMERIA invites their audience to embark on an emotional adventure, where every note and lyric is designed to resonate deeply and leave a lasting impression.

CARMERIA is:
Since reforming with a new line-up in 2018, the band has been on a momentous warpath through the Australian music scene. CARMERIA’s debut album Advenae (2021) saw the 5-piece garner international acclaim, culminating in a successful east coast tour of their home country in 2022. The following years saw the ensemble write and record their 2nd opus, Tragédie D’amour, which was released in August, 2024. The new album was received positively by fans and music critics alike, with several reputable outlets commending the band on their polished production, and their seamless blend of symphonic metal and gothic rock. As of 2025, CARMERIA are showing no signs of slowing down with their new acoustic EP, Trinity: Volume I, due for release on the 14th of February.
