Black Propaganda – “Modern Prometheus”
Third recording effort for this Italian band. We are not in the presence of a full-length but of an EP this time, but the sound coordinates that have characterized the band since the beginning are proposed again with the help of a new singer, Riccardo Pirozzi. Raw, merciless, steamrolling thrash.
A punch in the stomach that leaves no prisoners. The riffs of Jan Binetti stand out, the authentic dominator of this EP with his guitar flair that does not subside either in the face of demanding challenges such as knowing how to perform excellent solos or even in the face of riffs that are truly exciting, and are characterized by inventiveness and wickedness .
The thrash proposed is perhaps more in line with the European one of bands like Kreator or Coroner, but there are also the influences of the American one, up to the dynamism of groove metal, and all this is underlined by the powerful and punctual drumming of Eric Donato. Mid-career Sepultura are also called into question.
Four songs that are one more beautiful than the other, four dark-colored stones that cannot fail to find their way into the hearts of the most extremist metalheads who are constantly looking for violence in music. Not to be missed!
